Ha!!!  Found the little buggers!  Now I can use the featherweight...this is progress...

Stitching on final "Contentment" quilt border is done!

The final, longest border is finished for my "Contentment" anniversary quilt... happy feet, happy dance! It will go across the top.  The left and the right border ends are more or less mirror images of each other, with different fabrics. Here are some closer pictures, from left to right. I decided not to put our names or the wedding date around the wedding rings due to the fact that those little tidbits are already incorporated into some of the individual blocks. I really hunkered down this week to get this finished as my email and housework lanquished!  Due to the way I designed the outer borders, they have gotten progressively longer as I have stitched them...I should have started with this one first! It will be nice to get my work area straightened up after having over 1000 tiny bits at loose ends during the process of getting the four borders prepped and finished. "A Nut With Bolts" and more...

Two more LITTLE TREASURES 6-inch blocks done!  I call this one "A Nut With Bolts." As I am trying to only use reproduction fabrics, I was limited in choices of fresh-tone fabrics.  I chose one that was the right hue, but it had a design on it that was too strong.  I tried the trick of using the wrong side of the fabric...but the little design shows through, which looks a little weird. She looks a little bruised! This next one is from the Flowers (2) bundle of patterns.  It is called "Althea Branch." Just a few more blocks to stitch and I will be caught up! Man seen lurking in quilt cave...

The man seen lurking in my quilt cave was none other than Mr. Fabric Therapy installing blinds.  I was pretty excited...the sun really beats down on this end of the house in the late afternoons. I ordered blue because countertops and some fixtures are blue...and I just love blue. It has been way too long since my last post, but things have busy here.  Two long road trips, a quilt show in Ohio, blueberry season, MOWING season (zeesh!), wind damage, house guests...you name it, we've had it. I love blue, and these are blue (my favorite color) and TASTY! The bushes are loaded from all the rain we have had and I patiently pick off the first ripe ones...now they are ripening fast and furious and I am having a hard time keeping up.  My visiting sisters will fix that over the next two weekends. And then there is the mowing...on this 800-acre treasure forest, we have about 50-60 acres that are cleared and need to be mowed.   The clearings contain blueberry bushes, apple and p...
