RETREAT!!  It was a great time of sewing renewal for me.  See my little work station on my table above?  I wrestled with whether to muscle my Genome 6600 with me or barrel through the long weekend with my Featherweight (only 11 pounds, soaking wet). The Featherweight won out and I felt a little more awkward, and therefore slower using it, but all in all everything went well.   I have some issues to solve before piecing much more with the Featherweight (more later on that in another post). I only took one picture that had some of the other ladies in it...I should have taken a group shot, but we were a group with many comings and goings.  They all knew each other from previous retreats and projects and come from all over.  "Florida Farm Girl" invited me along because she knew I needed to run away from home.  She was right and I am so glad she did! We all stopped to get a funny "education via the Internet" in this picture below, but I won't tell you what...

What the ****???  I am back from the retreat, back from the airport (long story), and I had a comment asking where my blog list had gone (from my right sideboard).  It is GONE!!   Do you want to know how long it took me to collect all those blogs that I love to read?? Well, apparently other Google bloggers are having this problem as well.  I am trying not to panic just yet... More on the retreat after I've gotten a chance to unpack and settle in! Maybe the Russians are hacking into Blogger as well as the DNC and US government sites... Not so happy, Teresa   :o)

I have not been to a quilting retreat since 1995...my bags and projects are packed and ready to go!  Well, I have not packed my clothes and personal items yet; I mean, I've got my priorities in the right place! This is the cool rolling toolbox I bought from Home Depot a few years ago for just such an occasion.  I hated my old, original, smelly Featherweight sewing machine case, so I found an upgrade...at a home improvement store.    It has 3 compartments that fasten together.  The top holds my iron, bottle of Best Press, a squirt bottle and other odds and ends.  It will be like a little clown car when I start taking everything out and start to set up my allotted space. The second compartment is a flat tool unit... There is still room in case I think of something else to pack, although I already feel like I am taking everything I own!
